The publication of Eames on Design: The Collected Words last month got me thinking about the sheer volume of books on the subject of Mid Century Modern furniture and the key designers of that period. So, as a resource, I’m going to compile a list of publications any self-respecting Modernist design fan should get their hands on, beginning with Charles and Ray Eames, their life, their designs, and their legacy.
I’ve trawled through the web looking for recommended reads. Please let me know if there are any publications which you think should be on the list and why, and whether you think the books already on the list are worth picking up.
Of course, there are lots of publications which include the designs of Charles and Ray Eames, but this is my attempt at an exhaustive list of every publication which focuses on the pair, or features them heavily.
